INDIAN Veg Thali VS Non Veg Thali TASTE TEST at Bollywood Masala | Miami, Florida

As most of you guys probably know, I am a fiend for Indian food! It’s one of my three favorite cuisines of all time and I never miss an opportunity to eat some, even when I’m at home! For my latest Indian meal, I took my dad to my favorite Indian restaurant in South Miami, Bollywood Masala, so we could try their veg and non-veg mini thalis! Come along with me as I take my dad on a flavor adventure he’ll never forget!

Bollywood Masala:
Inside the restaurant, we met with the owner, Tina, who told us which dishes would make up our thalis. My dad went with the veg thali, which contains eggplant masala, gobi aloo, paneer makhana, dal, rice, naan, raita, and channa masala.
I ordered the non-veg thali, which is made up of chicken curry, paneer makhni, dal, channa masala, and chicken tikka. We also had some salad and a spicy sauce. I couldn’t wait to try everything and see which thali we liked more!
We started with the paneer makhni first, which is a delicious and super creamy cottage cheese in a tomato-based sauce. The naan was buttery on the outside and thicker than I was used to, but it was amazing when I dipped it into the paneer makhni sauce!
Next was the yellow dal, which was more like a puree and had a bit of a kick to it! I loved it and it was even better with the hot sauce. Then we went with the channa masala, which are chickpeas in a tomato-based sauce. It was amazing mixed with the rice and had a bit of a sweetness to it.
Indian food is all about mixing different dishes together and playing tricks on your palate! It’s one of the reasons why I love it so much. There is so much variety to the flavors and textures.
After a quick water break, we went with the chicken tikka, which is boneless chicken with a vibrant red color. It was so good! We followed that with the chicken curry, which was so different. I had to mix it with the rice, which is one of my favorite things to do when I order Indian takeout!
Next, we sampled the cauliflower, which had a lighter curry than the chicken curry. The peas, potatoes, and tomato made for a wonderful flavor combination!
Then I tried the eggplant, which is always my favorite. It’s soft and sweet and so good! But I couldn’t stop going back to my dad’s paneer, which was incredible!
Next, we dug into the raita, which is a yogurt dish with vegetables including onions and cucumbers. It’s refreshing, cools down your mouth, and coats your stomach at the end of the meal.
My dad and I preferred the non-veg mini-thali because you get a nice mix of vegetables and meat with the chicken. There are tons of options at Bollywood Masala, including lamb, chaats, goat, samosas, and much more.
We finished up with a pani, which was like the liquid from a pani puri! It took me right back to India!
What an amazing meal! It was my second lunch of the day and I was stuffed. You have to come to Bollywood Masala the next time you’re in South Miami and try their amazing food!
I hope you enjoyed coming with me and my dad to Bollywood Masala! If you did, please give this video a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe so you don’t miss any of my upcoming travel/food adventures!
