Filipino food is very underrated internationally. But that’s not actually a bad thing because it’s like a hidden beautiful diamond. I got HUNGRYY watching this ? and I only just ate dinner wtf ?
it’s so underrated, because a lot of foreigners doesn’t know how eat our dish properly,, only a few of them knows that all main dish are paired with rice.. and some pinoy restaurants doesn’t even teach their guest how the foods are eaten..
“I’m falling in love with Filipino food…” Is also a way of saying “Where have you been all this time?” And I agree, Filipino food is the best – hands down!
The first dish you ate is the “Tosilog “ tosino, sinangag, at itlog. Tosino- sweetened cured pork belly, Sinangag- fried garlic rice, and itlog- egg. 2nd is “Longsilog” its longganisa, sinangag, at iltog. Lingganisa-pork sausage, sinangag, fried garlic rice, and itlog -egg. 3rd is “Tapsilog” its Tapa, sinangag, at iitlog iits Tapa- beef jerky, sinangag-fried garlic rice, ang itlog- eggs. And the last one i think its “Cornsilog” ots Corned beff, sinangag,-fried rice, and egg. Thats good like filipino foods. More power Chef, and stay safe to all of you. ??
The man knows how to enjoy life ?
Thank You for giving our culture foods a try , We don’t get enough credit for our culture. I love this video, I’m a New Subscriber
For us Filipinos, everything we eat without rice is just a snack.
Can’t say it’s the same case with popped rice tho.

I see the word Bulacan and I immediately watch. Then, I see you’re in California. ?. You got me subscribed. You have a lot more of Filipino food to watch out for.
Chef, you must try the real LECHON, Crispy Pata and Sisig. Pair it with a bottle of beer, you will definitely love it! New subsciber here ??
I swear the more you do this and your channel explodes with more subs and content, you gonna end up travelling to the islands themselves!! And we hope you do!!
You are inspiring me to try to star a tasting video here in GA! I have loved Fillipino food, and people ever since The late ’80s when I was in the Navy.
Filipino breakfast is the best. My favourite is the salted fish, garlic rice, eggs and this salad with salted duck eggs.
Hey Curtis, I love to watch your video eating filipino food. I am filipina. You are funny ?
We call our breakfasts with garlic fried rice and egg, “-silog”. The main protein that goes with it determines the first part of the name. Goes like this:
Si ‐ short for sinangag (fried rice)
Log – short for itlog (egg)
The front part of the name:
Tap – tapa, beef jerky type
Long – longganisa, pork sausage
To – tocino, pork jerky type
Bang – bangus, marinated fried milk fish.
And there you go! Oh, don’t forget the vinegar sauce to dip all of the meats in. Yum!
Yes, tocino is the filipino bacon. I love tocino, longganisa, and tapa. Add some fresh pandesal and spanish rolls. Oh yeah. Yummy.
Glad you’re enjoying Filipino foods 🙂 You should try to make some! There’s a lot of good websites that has the recipes for Filipino foods definitely going to be fun seeing you’re own take on Filipino recipes 🙂
Chef Curtis, you are now an honorary Filipino. You are just at the tip of the iceberg. Many more delicious foods to try.

I’m from Bulacan and it makes me so happy to see you enjoy the food that I grew up eating. Watching this made me miss home. Thank you for this wonderful video.
This is how people should enjoy life! Eating!
Yeah
Trying to focus on the food review and it’s making me hungry, but couldn’t help hearing Manong’s telling his unfortunate event in the background.
I love Filipino good. I was introduced to their food from my Filipino wife. Sadly she passed away and I live in Pennsylvania. No Filipino food near me. I have been to Eagle Rock. Many good pinoy restaurants to choose from. Thanks for the videos.
Sorry for your loss buddy. But maybe you can use the cook book and she can live on through your love of Filipino food! ❤️ God Bless!
My condolences to you! Sorry to hear that.
Hi there, sorry to hear about your wife, condolences. I grew up in the Wilkes-Barre area in a small country side. But there are a lot of Pinoys in the Wilkes Barre area. My mom used have her own sari sari store for the local pinoys. We used to go to New Jersey and New York City to get her stock for her store. Many of them are still there but some have closed down due to the pandemic.
@KalpFiction I am trying lol. She would not let me near the stove while she was cooking. I have her cook book, but I have to translate it. It is written in tagalog lol.
Sorry to hear bout your wife bro. You might find some in New Jersey . Good luck
