@Ale 197 I’m all late lol but California was Mexico before. Actually all of the U.S Southwest was. So of course they will be the majority. And also Mexico is a bigger country with a bigger population neighboring the southwest so they will always be the majority in California. I wish there was more carribean spots to eat though. I have an obsession with cuban food and wish there was more spots that I can try.

I live in Louisiana and even though my family is from Guatemala I wanted to try Dominican food since watching these two on pero like. They are so proud of their heritage and you can see the excitement every time they eat. This past year they opened a Dominican restaurant called Mangu close to where I live. I really thought it was great. I recommend them to others because I want there place to thrive. It’s not often that you get something so different yet similar too. They stand out for being different.

For real like we got sancocho, chicharron, tostones, aroz con avichuela, pollo quisado, and we can’t forget the holy grail of Dominican food, el platano. Damn this comment making me hungry lowkey ?

My family use to have a puerto rican resturant in seattle called El Pìlon. It closed down as most of my fam moved to Ny or back to PR. My homie has his dominican spot in downtown seattle called Manu Bodega. Check it out
